September at Quality Touch: Pelvic Health, Events & What’s Coming Next
Published about 1 month ago • 4 min read
✨ September at Quality Touch✨
September is bringing plenty of opportunities to connect, learn, and support your pelvic health. This month, we’re highlighting sexual health, sharing a practical pelvic wellness tip, introducing what’s next for Pelviflow® Pelvic Wellness Coaching, and inviting you to join us at several upcoming events.
We’re excited to participate in the Tame the Taboo Women’s Health Summit, presented by DiscovHer Health, this upcoming Friday, September 18.
As part of the summit, Dr. Qualls will lead Poolside Pelviflow® Yoga for Pelvic Health, bringing together movement, breath, and pelvic wellness in a supportive setting.
The summit brings women together for conversations and experiences centered around pelvic health topics that are too often overlooked or difficult to discuss.

Why this pose: Too much pelvic floor tension can contribute to pelvic pain, pain with intimacy, constipation, or difficulty fully relaxing for urination or bowel movements. Happy Baby pose may help with releasing that tension.
Standard pose: Lie on your back, bend the knees toward the chest, and hold the feet or lower legs while allowing the knees to comfortably open toward the sides of the body.
Modified pose: Hold behind the thighs instead of the feet, or keep the feet supported while allowing the hips and knees to open only as far as feels comfortable.
Pelviflow® focus: Rather than trying to stretch as deeply as possible, focus on relaxing your neck & upper body, breathing, softening through the belly, hips, and allowing the pelvic floor to relax and lengthen. No forcing—comfortable movement is the goal.
Pelvic floor health isn’t only about strengthening.
The pelvic floor needs to be able to contract, relax, and coordinate with the rest of the body. Constantly tightening or performing more kegels is not always the answer.
Try pairing a slow inhale with allowing the belly, hips, and pelvic floor to soften, followed by an easy exhale. Comfortable movement, breathing, and relaxation are important parts of pelvic health.
September 4 marked World Sexual Health Day, and the 2026 theme is Every Body. The campaign reminds us that sexual health is part of overall health at every age and in every body.
One thing that may get overlooked is the importance of the connection between pelvic health and sexual health.
Changes such as pain or discomfort with intimacy, pelvic pressure, leakage, difficulty relaxing, or changes in sexual comfort and function can sometimes be connected to the muscles and tissues of the pelvic floor.
These concerns do not have to become severe before they deserve attention. If something has changed or is interfering with comfort, confidence, or intimacy, it may be worth having a conversation with your provider about pelvic floor PT.
September 8 was World PT Day, an annual celebration of the role physical therapists play in helping people improve movement, function, and quality of life.
At Quality Touch, we’re taking the opportunity to shine a little extra light on Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy.
Pelvic Floor PT can help address concerns involving bladder and bowel function, pelvic pain, prolapse, sexual health, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and other pelvic health concerns.
Wondering whether Pelvic Floor PT may be right for you? We’re here to help you determine the next step.

✨ October at Quality Touch✨ October may be known for scares and frights, but this month at Quality Touch, we’re leaning into a different kind of scary: doing the things that challenge us, stretch us, and move us forward. Sometimes that means stepping into a new opportunity. Sometimes it means taking care of our pelvic health before we feel completely ready. Either way, growth, change, and healing often begin on the other side of something that feels a little uncertain. And speaking of growth,...
